Rob Ashton :: Blog :: RedGloo Focus Group

November 27, 2007

Tomorrow (28th November) we'll be holding a RedGloo focus group in the School Common Room at 3:30pm (next to the Gordon Lecture Theatre).

Even if you don't use RedGloo, perhaps you could come along to tell us why. If you know of anybody who doesn't use RedGloo, bring them along and get them to contribute. If you do use RedGloo (Even if you only read it) then come along and let us know.

This is your chance to tell us what you want from the RedGloo community, to tell us what we've done right and what we've done wrong. It would be a shame to miss out.

PS: Shirley said there would be cake or equivalent. I don't know what that means, but if you come along you shall no doubt be pleasantly surprised.

    Sounds good. *checks virtual diary*

    Hmm...

12:30-1:30 - Feedback session on Eli Lilly interview from last week.
    2pm- IC GameDev team meeting.

OK, that meeting shouldn't take more than an hour so it looks like I can make it! Yay!

See you all tomorrow then :)

With the benefit of getting the inside track on this, I must say it could be quite an interesting session if we have a reasonably sized bunch'o'people.  There is some good stuff to discuss, and to be the first to contribute to any new directions RedGloo could go in.... smell the power!

If anyone has a fair amount of experience of other core systems (this is run on Elgg) such as moodle, drupal, blackboard etc it would be great to hear from them - not that we should be looking at which technology we use, but if any of them can be cited as an example of good practice then it would be handy to know Wink

We had an interesting discussion with the guys from ITNG and we have some exciting ideas (more later).

Meanwhile we will schedule another focus group and give people more notice.
